🔍 About the Speakers:
Dr. Giorgio Massimini, a consultant in oncology trials at GPM Biomedical Consulting, has over 30 years of experience in clinical research and development. He joined Merck KGaA in 2010, where he advanced to Head of Early Clinical Development Oncology, contributing to the development of multiple oncology compounds. Prior to Merck, he worked at Roche, Pharmacia, and Novartis, leading projects that resulted in global drug approvals. He retired from Merck KGaA in 2021 as Vice President of External Innovation. Dr. Massimini holds a Medical Degree, post-doctoral degrees in Clinical Biology and Biochemistry, and is an active member of several professional societies with over 60 publications and eight patents.

Dr. Yasser Mostafa Kamel is a Visiting Senior Lecturer at King’s College London with over 25 years of experience in drug development, specializing in oncology and hematology. A UK-certified physician, he holds advanced degrees from prestigious institutions worldwide. Dr. Kamel has developed treatments for various cancers, served as a Clinical Fellow, and is involved in numerous expert groups and organizations such as ASCO and the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine. He supervises graduate students and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine.
